A FEMA Disaster recovery Center is opening in Corpus Christi today.
The center, located in the La Palmera Mall parking lot between JC Penny and Firestone, will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Disaster recovery centers offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Texas federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Harvey.
Recovery specialists from the FEMA, the Small Business Administration, and other agencies will be at the center to talk about assistance and to help anyone who needs guidance in filing an application.
In addition to visiting the Disaster Recovery Center, residents can also register for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov , on the phone at 800-621-3362 or by downloading the FEMA app.
